Frugal Tip

Cloth diapers work just fine instead of the Wet Jet pads, I just secure them with a rubber band. Make sure you don't cover the sprayer thing, though.

Cheap snack foods this week. Pizza Rolls aren’t good for you AT ALL but when you want to eat crap fast, they work well.


Buy 2 Cheerios Snack Mix

4 I Can’t believe It’s Not Butter (replace with Chex Mix it you don’t use)

My Frugal/Green Tip of the week

I have been trying to better a better steward of the earth. It is hard when I work full time, raise two kids, and am just plain lazy. I need certain convenience products to make it through the day. One of these is my Swiffer Wet Jet. I LOVE this thing. WELL, I have learned that I can take the top off and fill with the cleaning solution of my choice. Let me tell you, I don't think they really want you to do this cause that sucker is on TIGHT but it can be done. Soak the top in hot water for a minute or so and use some pliers and VIOLA! So I filled it with vinegar and water. It did a good job and my house only smelled like a pickle for a short time. Now when The Bug runs across the wet floor I don't have to worry about her getting all those chemicals on her, just that she will smell like a gherkin!
Life is good!

Bargains today @ Kroger

Here is what I got today at Kroger -
16 (16oz) bags Purina Natural Cat Food
5 Boxes Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters
4 Boxes of Cheerios
1 box Kroger Graham Crackers
1 large box pudding mix
1 loaf wheat bread
2 cups Horizon yogurt
2 cups Soy Co. yogurt
1 bottle Annies organic dressing
4 can Muir Glen Organic tomatoes

Total before coupons 58.92
Total after coupons 10.46

The yogurt and salad dressing were on manager markdown and I had a raincheck from a 10 for $10 sale on the cat food, paired with 1.00 coupons (FREE!!).

Deals at Target this week

Friends have told me that i need to post the deals I do on this blog and spread the love. So I am going to let you in on my Target deals. I have web sites that I visit for printable coupons, one being www.hotcouponworld.com.
Nature Valley Granola Bars are 2 for $4 this week. There is a Target coupon (TQ) for .75 off one and a printable manufacturers coupon (MQ) for .80 off 2. This makes them .85 a box. I plan to get 4 boxes.

Morningstar Farms Veggie Products are 2.99 at out Target, there is a TQ for 2.00 any M-Star product. This will make them .99 a box, I plan to get 5.

Tava Beverages are 2.50 and there is a 1.50 printable MQ, making them 1.00 a 4 pack. I plan to buy 4.

Luv's Diapers are on sale (unconfirmed) for 6.99. I have a 2.00 MQ and there is a 1.50 MQ so they would be around 3.50 a pack. I am getting one as that is the only MQ I have and I have a wall of diapers from my CVS deals.
So the rundown is this:
4 packs of granola bars
5 packs Morningstar
4 packs Tava
1 pack Luv's
